WINTER INTENSIVE WORKSHOP – DECEMBER 6-17 2021
RUBBERBAND will hold its intensive workshop for dancers in Montreal this winter. Led by the company dancers, the workshop offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in RUBBERBAND’s work and to learn parts of its repertoire pieces.
Participants can expect 5 or 10 days of intense training in the RUBBERBAND Method, conceived by Victor Quijada. They’ll develop their agility and be able to use their bodies as multi-directional space-sculpting instruments. They will be initiated to a movement vocabulary created from the blending of classical ballet with contemporary and urban dance, with a particular focus on interpretative expression, decision-making, the use of rhythmic variation, and partnering.
