DEFINITION OF TASKS
– To design the lighting;
– To attend conception and production meetings;
– To attend certain rehearsals according to a pre-established calendar;
– When required, to plan and draw up a list of supplementary lighting devices and general effects; to obtain the costs of purchasing
or renting these items, presenting the enumerated costs to the production director;
– To produce instrument schedules/light pilots;
– To draw up lighting plans for performances in Montreal and on tour;
– To make estimates of the time needed for set-up and focus for performances in Montreal, on tour, and in residencies;
– To be present for set-up and tear-down for all the performances in Montreal, on tour, and in residencies;
– To determine and carry out focus and position for performances in Montreal, on tour, and in residencies;
– To carry out calibration in collaboration with the choreographer for performances in Montreal, on tour, and in residencies;
– In all cases, to respect the allocated budget;
– To attend dress rehearsals and premieres;
– To collaborate with the production director in the drawing-up of the technical rider for the production (a version with and a version
without freight, as well as other versions when required);
– To collaborate with the technical director and the production director in drawing up solutions/options regarding the life of the
production on tour;
– To carry out all tasks associated with the above.
