In an airport, former lovers meet by chance and reconcile. The product of the second collaboration between Victor Quijada and director René-Pierre Bélanger, this choreography, set to Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, was commissioned for the televised event marking Kent Nagano’s inaugural concert at the helm of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.
Départ premiered as part of the La symphonie éclatée – Bienvenue Maestro! event in September 2006.
