Metabolism is an immersive experience that takes the traditional language of bar/club venues to embody it in a formal choreographic space.

With the help of video projections, close choreographic relationships to architecture, sustained interaction with the audience, and the modification of the theatre space during the performance, Quijada embarks on a lengthy reflection on the overturning of classical dance codes.

Metabolism was presented as part of the DNA series at l’Espace Tangente in Montreal in March 2003.
