Reflections on Movement Particles issued from RUBBERBAND’s first creation residency in Europe. It also marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration with two of the company’s key conceptors: lighting designer Yan Lee Chan and musician/composer Mitchell Akiyama.

The work is a meditation on the opposition between the abstract and the narrative aspects of the movements of the body, supported by Akiyama’s minimalist electronic soundscape and Chan’s lighting.

The premiere of Reflections on Movement Particles took place in autumn 2003 at Théâtre de L’L in Brussels.
